First, let us apologize on the delayed reply of this message. As I'm sure you have noticed from the site we have been hard at work rolling out our New version of Sizable Send which will be must faster, easier and more reliable. However as your comment denotes, you have experienced some of the issues we are currently troubleshooting on the new site.

For that we apologize. By the time you receive this email 100’s of the bugs that were causing issues for a small percentage of our users will be worked out. However there are still a few more we need to squash before sending large files for free is as reliable as the new version promises.

In the mean time (and we know you won’t like this answer) the only thing we can suggest is to resend the file and rest assured that in a week’s time the site will be light-years more reliable with sending large files like the one you had issues with.

Just moments ago I finished uploading a 251 mb file called Central-South.ecw. (It said "completed"). A download link was sent to my email but both that and the download link from the completion page (same link) show the file as being 0.00 mb and error message of "The file associated with this link has expired*"

The download link is: http://www.sizablesend.com/download/190868431d900edddfb6b18acffbb3ca#cid=8

Help! Thank you.

Normally we can lookup the files based off your email, and in this case we did exactly that. However the file records are all saved in the database with a size of 0.00MB. Additionally we confirmed the files don't exist on any of our media cache server clusters in any of our multiple data centers. It gets stranger: Our logs show that even though the files were uploaded to the database they were never deleted by our batch process scripts. It's as if you uploaded an invisible file. After thinking things through we believe there is a strong chance that this hiccup was caused by by a web browser error when the sender uploaded the files, thus we suggest you ask them so send the files again. Things should hopefully go just fine.

[...] And since there are no usage restrictions you could theoretically upload Terabytes of data and it would always be free. Here are details on how long their files are kept for. [...]

Files less than 5MB is size are kept for a minimum of 60 days, so it is VERY unlikely that the system deleted the file.

I was sent a file yesterday but when I went to the link it says the files are expired. It also says the file size was 0 mb. Do I need to get the person to try again or will the same thing happen?

Check and make sure the other emails aren't in your Spam folder. Also, sometimes when you get multiple emails from SizableSend.com they will trickle in one by one as compared to being delivered all at once. In the meantime, we will email you all the download links. Have a great day and thank you for using our service to send large files free!!!
