  1. I need to send my files in a folder because I often send over 300 photos to a client. Uploading only 10 files (photos) at a time is too time consuming for me and very inconvenient for my client. Do you plan to offer a method to upload large folders in the future?
    thanks

I keep uploading and it finishes, sends me an email and tells me the link has expired. I know the file will not be there forever, but I should have at least 5 days, right?

I just uploaded this at 5:53 pm ET and it is already expired. Can you help me please?

    Thank you!

AT LEAST 5 days for sure! An error must be occurring in your web browser during the upload. This can happen sometimes depending on what scripting you have enabled/disabled, what anti-virus you’re running and/or if your computer has any spyware/viruses installed on it. To help us better understand things, can you please tell us what operating system you are using, what web browser you are using and how large the file is that you are trying to send?

I was using Window XP, I tried it with Chrome and Firefox and I was using Avast as my antivirus. The file was 488MB and it was a zipped folder of pictures. Am I doing something wrong?

        • admin says:

Nope, you’re doing nothing wrong at all. In fact we just sent a 500MB file from both Chrome and Firefox and it worded just fine. Can you try uploading the file again and see is the same error occurs? Thanks in advance.

  5. Ashley says:

    Nope. It happened again today.

Can you try the upload in internet explorer just to humor us? Also, what version of flash player are you running? (You can figure that out here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) And do you have JavaScript enabled?

Something is causing errors, we just need to get to the bottom of it.

You might also want to test things out by sending a smaller file, like less than 5MB.

    Hi guys,
I’ve had an email sent to me saying my file is at http://www.sizablesend.com/download/6ad8d44bf7083461cc03d32b0767303c but keep getting a 404 not found error when I try to download.
    Can you help.
    Thanks, Will

I uploaded several files for a recipient, they seemed to upload fine, ending with links about their location. The recipient received emails from donotreply2@sizeablesend.com, but they are empty emails with no instructions on what was sent or how to download, in fact, nothing at all!
I’m using Firefox 3.6 in Vista. The recipient’s email is yahoo.com.

Some users have experienced issues with emails being displayed blank in Yahoo. It is an error we are working on but it is taking some time especially because it doesn’t happen to all Yahoo users, just some. In the meantime can you manually forward the download links to your end user?

      Sorry for the inconvenience.

    • admin says:

The blank email issue should now be resolved.

My first attempt to send a really large file failed.
In this case it was a 740MB .avi file.
I tried twice, both times it failed at between 25% and 40% sent. The error message said “I/O Error”.

Can you give some pointers about how to avoid I/O errors. Should I do nothing else on the computer during the hour that the file is being sent?

    Thanks.

    • admin says:

You should be able to do anything you want on your computer while you upload a file. Here is a short/detailed explanation we wrote for you on the I/O Error: http://help.sizablesend.com/sizable-send-io-error/

Also, are you MAC or PC?
What web browser are you using?
Do you know what version of Flash player you have installed?
What type of internet connection do you have? Type/speed? Is it reliable?

Hopefully this helps, if not let us know as we are committed to making your file upload experience as easy and error free as possible.

      Thanks,
      The Sizable Send Staff

I have an issue downloading an uploaded file. When clicking the “download” button the 52 MB ZIP file is opened in the browser instead of downloading – both in Opera 10.70 and Internet Explorer 8. Is this an issue with with the “file.php”?

  10. Erin says:

I’m sending a 1.6GB file and there is no progress bar telling me what percentage that the download is at. It’s frustrating because I have no clue how long it will take. 5 hours? 5 days?

  11. Fernando says:

    Where is the “open” button?

    • admin says:

The “open” button appears in the “select files” dialog box which itself appears after you click the “Select files” button.
